Rubáiyát A Compilation
The Persian word rubáiyát is defined as a collection of ruba’i, which are
four line stanzas that form a poem. There was always a copy of The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyam on my mother’s bookshelf. Hence, this extraordinarily rich form of poetry has been a part of my life since I was a child.
Compiling this body of work was, for me, much like writing a series of short poems, one image at a time.
